With tears falling down my face, thank you. Even though it was awkward, it was the best. It’s nice to not have to bend over from the side window to talk to you and hear your stories but there will be something special forever in my heart for this time. It is such a blessing now to welcome you inside at AC&B. Even though it was just an espresso stand you believed it was so much more because it was so much more. You let Argonaut into your hearts: you ate biscuits, you met up with friends, you came back over and over. It is our customers that made it possible. So many memories… remember when everyone would park in the yellow and hang out and chat for a while so the city changed it to a red and tried to get you to stop parking for coffee but y’all just kept doing it?! Remember when we tried out making donuts on Sundays? Remember when we opened we didn’t have a menu because we thought no one needed a menu to order coffee? I am so honored to have run Argonaut out of this small but mighty space for seven plus years. Thank you for sharing your stories and for standing in long lines for a biscuit. Thank you for believing in us and for letting the box into your hearts. We were two kids with with big dreams and high ideals. It breaks my heart and I am trying to find the words to express my gratitude for our years there. The mixpressos work well for a few months, than many people have issues with the pumps within a few months, and their difficult to contact about the warranty. This feature is best left to the experts, as it can lead to unwieldy results. Depending on the machine you use, you can have coffee brewed with varying levels of pressure. They also tend to be pump-driven rather than steam-driven to get the most amount of pressure. It’s called the Mixpresso espresso machine, and it’s available for about $80 on Amazon, but I’d suggest an authentic Nespresso machine. Professional, commercial-grade espresso machines generally use nine bars. Another company also makes similar machines with the same pressure, and still use the cheaper OriginalLine pods. The Essenza Mini, or The Pixie are both very good options for 19-BAR OriginalLine machines that can be had for around $150. However there is much debate weather or not this is true espresso since it is not brewed to the definition even closely, and the ‘cream’ is more of an aerated foam from the spinning, not a micro foam created by pressure. The entire OriginalLine has the 19-BAR pumps you mentioned, but the Vertuo does not use traditional pressure to brew, it uses centripetal force to mix the water and grounds, as well as force the brewed coffee out of the pod while more water is being added. The VertuoLine is their newer offering than the OriginalLine.
